TF2 Keys & Crypto FAQ

Everything about trading Team Fortress 2 keys for crypto on Clover: prices, fees, limits and how the swaps work.

What is Clover?

Clover is an automated TF2 key exchange: a marketplace for buying and selling Team Fortress 2 keys (Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys) for cryptocurrency, running 24/7. You sign in with Steam, trade keys through automated bot trade offers, and payouts are sent straight to any crypto wallet you choose, usually within minutes.

Is Clover a TF2 key exchange or a trading bot?

Both, in practice. The exchange part quotes live buy and sell prices for keys against crypto; the bot part is the set of Steam accounts that send and accept the trade offers automatically, around the clock, with a verification code on every offer. There is no human in the loop for a normal swap, which is why deposits, quotes and payouts take minutes rather than hours.

How do I sell TF2 keys for crypto?

Sign in with Steam, deposit keys from your inventory by accepting a bot trade offer, then pick the cryptocurrency and network you want, enter your wallet address and confirm the swap. The crypto is sent directly to your wallet as soon as the swap completes.

How do I buy TF2 keys with crypto?

Choose how many keys you want and pay with any supported cryptocurrency. The keys are credited to your site balance and you can withdraw them to your Steam inventory by trade offer at any time.

How much is a TF2 key worth right now?

Clover currently pays about $1.635 per key when you sell and charges about $1.65 per key when you buy. Rates track the market and update continuously; the homepage always shows the live price.

Is it cheaper to buy TF2 keys on Clover than from Steam?

Yes. The Mann Co. Store charges a fixed $2.49 per key and the Steam Community Market sits just under it, both in Steam Wallet funds only. Clover sells keys for about $1.65 right now, about 34% below the store price, all-inclusive, and the keys are the same Mann Co. Supply Crate Key item delivered to your inventory by trade offer.

Which cryptocurrencies does Clover support?

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), XRP, BNB, Monero (XMR), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Tron (TRX), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Avalanche (AVAX), Shiba Inu (SHIB), DAI, USDC, USDT and more, across networks including Ethereum, BSC, Tron, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum and Base.

What are the fees?

The quote you see is what you get: Clover's rate is all-inclusive and nothing extra is added on top. USDT on BSC settles directly from Clover's treasury with zero fee, and selected stablecoin pairs carry a No fee or Low fee tag.

Is there a minimum or maximum swap size?

You can swap from 1 up to 4,000 keys in a single trade. For larger amounts, split the trade into multiple swaps or ask the team on Discord.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You sign in with your existing Steam account through Steam's official OpenID login: no email, password or signup form. Set your Steam trade URL once and you are ready to trade keys.

How fast are trades and payouts? Can I sell TF2 keys instantly?

Close to instantly. Key deposits and withdrawals are ordinary Steam trade offers, so they complete as fast as you accept them. Crypto payouts are broadcast as soon as your swap completes, typically within minutes depending on the network you chose; USDT on BSC is paid from Clover's own treasury and usually lands within a minute.

Can I buy or sell TF2 keys in bulk?

Yes. A single swap covers up to 4,000 keys and you can run several back to back. The live stock (for buying) and buy capacity (for selling) are shown on the swap form, and the team on Discord can confirm capacity for a very large order before you start.

Where can I see TF2 key price history?

On the TF2 key price history page, which charts Clover's daily buy and sell price per key since February 2026 and is backed by a public JSON endpoint at api.clover.tf/exchange/key-price-history. The TF2 key price page has the live number and a key calculator.

How many confirmations does a payment need?

USDT on BSC is paid straight to Clover's treasury and is credited after 3 block confirmations, about 10 seconds. Other coins settle through an exchange partner that waits for the network's full confirmation depth. Typical figures: USDT / USDC on BSC (BEP20): 3 confirmations, about 10 seconds; BNB (BSC): 3 confirmations, about 10 seconds; Solana (SOL, USDT, USDC): 1 finalized confirmation, under 30 seconds; XRP: 1 validated ledger, under 10 seconds; Tron (TRX, USDT TRC20): 20 confirmations, about 1 minute; Ethereum (ETH, USDT, USDC, DAI, SHIB): 12 confirmations, about 3 minutes; Polygon (USDT, USDC): 128 confirmations, about 5 minutes; Arbitrum / Base (ETH, USDT, USDC): 12 confirmations, about 3 minutes; Litecoin (LTC): 6 confirmations, about 15 minutes; Dogecoin (DOGE): 6 confirmations, about 6 minutes; Bitcoin Cash (BCH): 6 confirmations, about 1 hour; Bitcoin (BTC): 2 confirmations, about 20 minutes; Monero (XMR): 10 confirmations, about 20 minutes. Times are typical network speeds, not guarantees.

Is Clover safe?

Sign-in uses Steam's official OpenID flow, so Clover never sees your Steam password. Every trade offer carries a verification code you can match before accepting, and if an exchange leg fails after you have paid, funds are returned to your refund address. Live support chat is built into the site and the team is active on Discord.

What is Anonymous Mode?

Anonymous Mode routes your swap through privacy-first exchange partners only, so your IP address and location are never shared. Fees may be slightly higher on some pairs.

Can I cash out keys without using the site?

Yes. After saving a payout address on Clover, you can send keys straight to the bot with that saved address in the trade offer message. The trade is accepted automatically and the full value is sent to that address.

What happens if my swap fails or expires?

If an exchange fails after you have sent funds, the money is returned to your refund address. If a swap expires before you send anything, nothing is charged. Support is available in the site chat and on Discord if anything looks stuck.
